Dream Dome Homes are all based on the concept of a 30 foot diameter, 12-sided "circle," or dodecahedron. This concept applies both horizontally--the area covered on the ground by one of our domes--as well as vertically, since the panels connect at the same angles as they arch over from one side to the other. Each Dream Dome, then, is 30 feet in diameter, and sixteen feet from ground floor to roof, with a small peak at the center giving the extra foot of height.
The Dream Dome Kit can usually be set up and finished by a general contractor within 30 days.
The Longhouse panels also connect to one another vertically the same way, arching over even though they are straight on the horizontal axis. The Longhouse is also approximately 30 feet wide and 16 feet high at the center.
All of the kits we sell are designed to be assembled on either a concrete slab or a raised foundation. First floor joists are not included in any of our kits, and must be added if you choose a raised foundation.
The Dream Dome
You can purchase a Dream Dome Home kit in various levels of completion. None of them include foundation, or anything involved in the preparation of your land, and none include appliances. These include:

The Longhouse
The Longhouse can be built in any length greater than 24 feet, based on a multiple of 8 feet, and is always 30 feet wide. Each panel on every level of the straight section is 8 feet long, so you can choose to have a home that is anywhere from our minimum 24 feet long to 80 feet long or even more. The one described below is based on the one shown on our Longhouse page, which is 49 feet long in total.
The Longhouse Kit can usually be set up by a general contractor within 30-45 days, depending on the final design.
